Southside Medical Center is a non-profit, federally qualified health center, providing healthcare services for metropolitan Atlanta families for nearly 60 years. Governed by a community-based Board of Directors and our President and Chief Executive Officer, David M. Williams, M.D., the center is Georgia’s oldest and one of the largest community-based health centers serving underserved communities with highly trained physicians and other healthcare providers. Southside complies with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and prohibits discrimination because of race, color, national origin, age, disability, or sex. We provide support for patients with Limited English Proficiency, vision impairment, and disabilities to communicate effectively with us. These supports include TTY (text telephone device) communication for persons with hearing impairment, qualified interpreters for sign language and languages other than English, and written information in other formats, such selecting language options or read aloud capability on our website. Additionally, the federal Public Health Service covers health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and the center under the Federal Torts Claims Act.
