Job Responsibilities
- Leads the Ryan White Program team by example with dedication, integrity, and a commitment to developing each member of the team to their highest potential.
- Provides leadership to the staff. Manages staff to ensure appropriate support of all tasks.
- Oversees the overall operation of the Ryan White Program and supervises staff responsible for clinical care, business administration, case management, quality management, and facility management collaborating with the Quality Assurance Manager and Chief Medical Officer.
- Collaborates with the Quality Assurance Manager to achieve the objectives of the Ryan White Program.
- Continuously improves program’s capacity and effectiveness of health care services, systems, and infrastructure.
- Leads Treatment Teams Meetings ensuring that activities and decisions are data driven.
- Represents the organization at local, state, and federal required meetings and conferences and serves as the liaison between the organization’s Ryan White Program and the state and federal project officers.
- Is actively involved in the community landscape (HIV Care Continuum) and emergency preparedness activities.
- Ensures adequate management of their assigned staff, including establishing workloads, prioritizing work assignments, establishing performance expectations, and evaluating employee performance; enforcing policies and procedures; resolving staff issues; assessing training needs, monitoring program performance; and evaluating the effectiveness of services.
- With Ryan White management team, creates, manages, and maintains staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage during hours of operation.
- Ensures that there is a plan for orienting and training new staff on their day-to-day tasks and responsibilities.
- Empowers and develops Ryan White Program employees to their highest potential.
- Participates in the development of Ryan White Program budgets.
- Supervises the updating/development/management of Ryan White Program internal procedures.
- Maintains awareness of advances in data processing technology, government regulations, health insurance charges, and financing options.
- Coordinates and/or oversees all administrative aspects of the Ryan White grants including preparation and submission of all related grant applications and activity, outcome, and financial and programmatic reports.
- In collaboration with the organization’s leadership, seeks and develops grants and other fund sources to support the operation and growth of organization.
- Serves as lead point of contact for state and federal audits (programmatic and/or financial).
- Coordinates the organization’s participation in the 340B Drug Pricing Program and Contract Pharmacy Agreements and ensures compliance.
- Ensures development of the Quality Management and Quality Improvement Plan.
- Develops reports of quality findings and quality program evaluation. Monitors Ryan White Program Core and Performance Measures and trends.
- With QM/QI committee, strives to identify and remove any barriers to improvement.
- Interfaces with external stake holders (FQHCs, hospitals, community physicians, Safety Net, Boards of Health).
- Supervises the submission of all contracts to CCHD and CHD Business Office to be reviewed in accordance with the Contracts, MOA/MOU, and BAA Policy.
- With the organization’s Quality Manager, leads the Community based advisory boards (consortium) and participates in the quarterly meetings.
- Develops and maintains collaborations with other HIV/AIDS service organizations and medical institutions.
- Oversees management of CAREWare.
- Continuously develops capacity and accountability for ongoing electronic medical record enhancements.
