Description
Reports to the LPN, RN, and Director of Nursing. Job duties include, but not limited to: Performs a variety of tasks as an entry-level worker on the health care team, Introduces the patient and/or patient’s family into the health care system. Is the liaison between the patient, patient’s family and health care providers and Obtains vital signs: (1) Blood pressure; (2) Heart rate (pulse); (3) Respiratory rate; (4) temperature (orally, auxiliary, or rectal). Performs vein-punctures and other specimen collection(s) as directed by the LPN, RN, or Physician. Maintains confidentiality, Prepares patient for treatment and examination by nurse and/or provider and Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
One to two years experience working in a health care setting with certification from an accredited educational institution. Must maintain certification by either re-examination or continuing education credit (CEU). CEU’s are obtained by attending AAMA approved programs. Bilingual preferred.
